Summit Awards

The Summit Advisory Board (SAB) is a group dedicated to supporting the on-going success of each National Summit on Spit and Smokeless Tobacco. We are very pleased to announce the continuation of the Summit Awards at this year’s Summit. The SAB will present three national awards at the Fifth National Summit on Smokeless & Spit Tobacco, in Madison, Wis., in September 2009. The SAB is accepting nominations for individuals or organizations for the awards described below: 

• The Amy Hertz Award will be presented to an individual or organization exemplifying outstanding advocacy and education in smokeless tobacco prevention and control.

• The Buck Tobacco Sponsorship Award will be presented to an individual or organization that has worked to eliminate or restrict smokeless tobacco sponsorship in their community.
• The Through With Chew Policy Award will be presented to an individual or entity showing excellence in policy change specific to smokeless tobacco.

Complete the nomination form to submit your nomination for one of the above awards. We will accept nominations through August 15, 2009. After this date, the SAB Awards Committee will make their recommendation to the SAB members who will then vote on a winner for each award. The SAB is looking forward to recognizing outstanding individuals or organizations around the nation for their work in smokeless tobacco prevention and control.
