Speaker Ready Room – Technical Information

We ask that presentations be developed in PowerPoint 2003 or 2007 or a compatible version (i.e., Mac power point 2004 or 2008).  If you have embedded video please make sure to bring the video files as well as your power point as they are needed for your presentation to play correctly. We recommend you avoid using unusual fonts as they may not appear correctly.

Speakers will be required to report to the technical support staff in the Speaker Ready Room (location of room here) at least 3 hours prior to the start of their presentation with their PowerPoint presentation saved on one of the following formats: USB Flash Drive, CD-ROM, DVD-ROM.  Also remember it never hurts to bring two formats (ie: USB Flash Drive and CD-ROM), just in case.  The Speaker Ready Room will also be equipped with workstations for you to edit your presentation if needed.

All presentation rooms will be equipped with a PC with the Windows XP and PowerPoint 2007, along with a video projector, Internet connection, audio for the computer, screen, podium and microphone. You will not be able to use your personal computer during your presentation; however you can bring it to the Speaker Ready Room if you need assistance copying your power point presentation onto a CDROM or Flash Drive.  When you arrive at a presentation space your presentation will be loaded on the computer in the room.

No overhead projectors or slide projectors will be available.

If you have any further questions please don’t hesitate to ask either in advance or during the event in the Speaker Ready Room.
