The purpose of the Sexual Harassment Resource Group:

  • is to serve as resources for individuals who have complaints or concerns.
  • to initiate efforts to educate, sensitize, and increase campus awareness of issues relating to sexual harassment.

Resource Persons:
In order to provide assistance with the implementation of this policy, the University has established a Sexual Harassment Resource Group, comprised of two males and two females from each of the following groups: the faculty, the academic staff, the classified staff, and the students.

Resource persons should be available to assist those with sexual harassment concerns in any of the following:

1. As a resource for information and referral.

2. As support in meetings with the Director of Affirmative Action or other representatives of the university , as requested by the individual.

3. To assist in the resolution process as requested by the individual.

Those persons who agreed to serve as Resource Person received training on sexual harassment, including appropriate listening, response and resolution strategies.
