Session Topics

Rambin' Robots: They rumble, they spin, they crawl across the floor...they're robots! Play with our robots, and bring home a mini-robot of your own.

Super Spy: Mission possible! Sneak around campus with gadgets you make, then take them home to keep an eye on your stuff.

Science Meets Art: Pick up your paintbrushes and put on your thinking cap. In this camp we will create works of art that have a scientific spin.

High Seas Adventure: Yarr mateys! Put on your sea legs and come out for a day of pirate fun. Learn the science behind cannons, scurvy (Vit. C anyone?), and how to properly sink a  ship.

Air Show (Fly Day): Have some high flying fun with rockets, catapults, planes and hot air balloons. If it flies, we'll build and test it!

Kitchen Concoctions: Finally, someone's encouraging your to play with your food! Believe it or not, cooking involves a lot of science, and we'll spend the day experimenting with food. Then we'll top it off with home-made ice cream and root beer floats!

Gross Out: Eewww! If it's stinky, squishy, sticky or downright disgusting, we'll explore it. Plus you'll take home oozes, smells, scabs and plenty of other things to gross out your friends and family.

Storm Chasers: How do tornadoes, hurricanes and other weather disasters happen? Answer this question and watch amazing weather demonstrations in this fun-filled day.

Camp Med: Are you interested in being a doctor or a nurse? Learn some body basics like how to take your blood pressure, check your lung capacity, and analyze your senses.

Mythbusters II: The show Mythbusters always says, "Do not try this at home." Let's try it at camp instead! Test ideas from the hit TV program.

Water World: Get your feet wet! Spend your day by the water. We'll look at both drinking water and recreational water, perform water quality tests and look for aquatic life.

Clean & Green Energy: What is energy? With a flip of a switch the lights turn on - but do you know how? We'll explore how that happens and investigate green energy in this environmentally-friendly camp.
