About Us

The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh is a partnership between the U.S. Small Business Administration and the University of Wisconsin-Extension which provides free counseling services and moderately-priced training programs to startup and existing businesses in East Central Wisconsin. We also advocate for the creation of an environment that supports the creation and growth of small businesses in the region.

The Small Business Development Center is affiliated with the UW Oshkosh College of Business and its service area includes a seven county area in Wisconsin, including Fond du Lac, Green Lake, Marquette, Outagamie, Sheboygan, Waushara, and Winnebago Counties. It is one of the 12 University of Wisconsin-Extension SBDC centers, and three specialty business development centers that make up the Wisconsin Small Business Development Center Network.

Internal partners of the UW Oshkosh Small Business Development Center include the University of Wisconsin-Extension's Division of Entrepreneurship & Economic Development (formerly Business and Manufacturing Extension), the Wisconsin Entrepreneurs Network (WEN), the UW Oshkosh Center for Community Partnerships, and the Council for Innovation, a regional SBA-funded project administered by the University of Wisconsin Oskhosh. External partners include the many technical colleges, chambers of commerce and economic development organizations in the center's seven-county service area.
