Automated External Defibrillator
An AED is an emergency response device that is used to provide care for victims of sudden cardiac arrest. The AED analyzes the hearts electrical system, and if necessary, will prompt the responder to deliver a shock to the victim.
Campus AED Locations
UW Oshkosh currently has 35 AED’s located throughout the campus. Look for the signs located at the site of all AED's. Become familiar with the locations in the buildings you frequent, it could save a life!
AED Policy
Free training on the proper use of AED’s is normally offered twice a year. Watch for announcements on training dates and times.
