News from the Registrar
Get Ready for the New Titan Web on August 4, 2008! ulllst 2008
A new version of Titan Web will be rolled out to students and faculty on August 4, 2008.
The new Titan Web will allow students to logon to their own Student Center. Options will be more intuitive and fewer clicks will be necessary to reach most pages.
The current version of Titan Web will be available until the evening of Friday, July 25 (specific time to be announced later). Then Titan Web will be down until 8:00 a.m. on Monday, August 4, 2008. Please note that the administrative portion of the student information system will also be unavailable so no one will be able to add classes, run transcripts, etc. during that week.
Because of the upgrade, current plans are that password information will be frozen as of April 28. Therefore, students should remember that if they change their password after April 28, they will need to use the earlier password when they first login to the new Titan Web in August.
Information about the new Titan Web, including password procedures, will be provided to students through their campus email accounts and information on the Titan Web homepage. It is really important that students check their email accounts over the summer to learn about any procedural changes to logons, adding or dropping classes, printing their class schedules, etc. Any student having problems with the logon to the new Titan Web should contact the Academic Computing Helpdesk at (920) 424-3020.
Portions of the new Titan Web will be shown on the discussion wall in Reeve Union on April 29, 30, May 1, 6, 7 and 8 between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. It will be shown there again when school begins in September as well as at the Taste of Oshkosh on September 2. Students can also come to the Registrar's Office in Dempsey 130 during any of our hours (including evenings the first few days of Fall 2008) for assistance. Specific times for the September demos and info sessions will be announced later via email and the Titan Web homepage.

Reminders from the Registrar
Still Thinking about Summer School 2008?
If you are considering taking classes this summer, there is a Summer Session web page designed to help you. You'll find information about everything you need to know to make this possible from tuition costs to financial aid to course listings.
Update Your Address for Summer
Please remember to update your address before leaving campus for the summer. You can update your local address via TitanWeb. If you'd like to have everything from the University sent to one location, update your home address by downloading and mailing in a Change of Address form, or stopping in Dempsey 130. (If this example is what you want to do, it is not necessary to add a local address that is identical to the home address.) You can also add a phone number or update one via TitanWeb. If you have any questions, please call the Registration Desk at 424-3454.
Check Titan Web for Your Grades
Grades will be available within 24 hours of the time that your instructor inputs them. The deadline date for instructors to submit grades for classes offered during the second-seven weeks (7W2) and fourteen-weeks (14W) of the Spring 2008 term is May 21, 2008, so all grades should be viewable after 6:00 p.m. that day. 17 week and interim grades will all be viewable by June 13, 2008 at 6:00 p.m.
Application for Graduation Available Online
The Application for Graduation is available online. You must apply for graduation the semester prior to the semester that you will be completing requirements. (For example, if you are graduating in Fall 2008, the application must be completed prior to the end of the Spring 2008 semester.) The online Application for Graduation can be accessed through the Registrar’s website by clicking on Graduation. First, follow instructions for completing the form. Then, print one copy on white paper and submit to the appropriate graduation examiner. Then print one copy for your files. The form cannot be submitted electronically.
Spring 2008 Graduates
Congratulations! Here is information for you about your graduation and diploma:
Students often consider the date of the commencement ceremony as their degree conferral date. However, the official graduation date is the last day of the 17-week term, June 6, 2008.
Diplomas are mailed to undergraduate graduates 8-10 weeks after the official graduation date of June 6, 2008. So you can expect your diploma and a complimentary copy of your official transcript to arrive in the mail by the second week in August. If your diploma mailing address has changed since you filed your graduation application, please be sure to contact your respective degree examiner in the Registrar's Office. Changing your home or local address online or with the Registrar's Office does not automatically result in a change in your diploma mailing address.
Diplomas are mailed to graduate student graduates approximately six to eight weeks after the official end of the 17-week semester or 8-week summer semester.
