New Grading Scale Begins Fall 2009

Beginning in Fall 2009, the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh will begin using a new grading scale. This change will not affect grades awarded prior to Fall 2009. Point values in the new scale will be related to the assigned grades as shown below:

e-Grading Demo
The Registrar’s Office will be conducting an e-grading demonstration on Monday, May 11 at 3:00 pm in Dempsey Hall room 212. In addition, an e-grading tutorial and other grading resource materials are available on the Registrar's website to assist faculty and other instructors.

e-Grading Dates and Reminders
Titan Web grade rosters for classes offered during the second seven weeks (7W2) and fourteen weeks (14W) of the spring term will be available beginning May 11.  All grades must be recorded electronically in Titan Web.  For classes with meeting end dates of May 15, 2009 or prior, the deadline date for submitting grades to the Registrar is May 20, 2009 Check your Titan Web Class Roster to verify class meeting end dates; discrepancies should be reported to your Academic Department Associate.

Changing Grades
Grades that have been submitted to the Registrar are posted within 24 hours of submission.  If an instructor needs to change a posted grade, s/he must fill out a Change of Grade Form and have his/her department chairperson sign it before submitting it to the Registrar’s Office, Dempsey 130.  For security reasons, the form should not be given to or submitted by the student.

Student Employee of the Year
The Registrar’s Office would like to congratulate Cindy Chervenka, who was recently named the UW Oshkosh Student Employee of the Year. Since Fall 2003, Cindy has provided exceptional customer service in the Registrar's Office. She is graduating in Spring 2009 with a degree in Elementary Education. Cindy will receive a certificate as well as a cash award for her achievement.
