GRE Preparation

The Reading & Study Skills Center provides assistance for students taking the GRE (Graduate Record Exam) through workshops or individual consultation. Workshops are divided into two parts: Preparation/Test Strategies and Analytical Writing. Free, no registration is required for UW Oshkosh students.

Spring 2018 Workshops

All workshops held in Clow 240, 3-4:30 PM. No registration is required. Just show up.

Part I: Preparation/Test Strategies Workshop

Presented by the Reading and Study Skills Center. Learn the following about preparing the exam:

  • What the exam is and how it is scored
  • Where to find free study resources
  • How to reduce test anxiety
  • Test-taking strategies

Part II: GRE Analytical Writing Workshop

Presented by the Writing Center staff, Jess Hilt and Alex Johnson. Learn about the following in Part II of the workshop:

  • What resources are available to help you study
