Welcome!

We invite you to explore the opportunities that the University of Wisconsin (UW) Oshkosh and the Public Administration Department have to offer you!

Our mission is to provide graduate and undergraduate students with an understanding of the field of the public administration and the leadership skills required for public service. We envision UW Oshkosh Public Administration graduates to be exceptional leaders in their public service organizations and communities.

With its commitment to academic rigor, public service, and leadership excellence, the Master of Public Administration (MPA) program is one of the best in the state of Wisconsin. It allows students to pursue a management degree from an accredited university at their own pace and in a convenient format. It is open to mid-career professionals as well as those looking to begin their careers. Students will receive instruction from dedicated faculty members and practitioners in the field. Students will also have many networking opportunities with classmates and administrators from a variety of organizations. Since 1979, more than 500 students have received MPA degrees. Our graduates are employed in diverse public, nonprofit, and healthcare organizations. The MPA degree will help students advance in their current jobs as well as obtain competitive administrative positions.

The undergraduate Public Administration Minor provides students with the knowledge to begin a public administration career as well as to help them make important decisions about what direction they want their career to take.

The Graduate Certificate in Healthcare Management is designed for students who wish to enhance their skills as healthcare managers, supervisors or leaders to function effectively in today's complex healthcare environment.

All three programs embody the department's core values of inclusivity, responsiveness, service, teaching excellence and faculty satisfaction.

Enjoy your visit to our site, and please contact us with any further questions!

Sincerely,

PA Department Faculty
