Our vision is for UWO Public Administration graduates to be exceptional leaders in their public service organizations and communities. With its commitment to academic rigor, public service, and leadership excellence, the Master of Public Administration (MPA) program is one of the best in the state of Wisconsin. It allows you to pursue a management degree from an accredited university at your own pace and in a convenient format. It is open to mid-career professionals, as well as students looking to begin their careers. You will receive instruction from dedicated faculty members, as well as practitioners in the field. Students will have many networking opportunities with classmates and local administrative representatives from a variety of organizations. Since 1979, more than 500 students have received Master's degrees in Public Administration. Our MPA graduates are employed in a wide array of public, nonprofit, and health care organizations. The degree helps them to advance in their current jobs, as well as to obtain competitive administrative positions.
In addition, we offer an undergraduate Public Administration minor that provides you with the knowledge you need to begin a career in public administration, as well as help you make important decisions about what direction you want your career to take.
Both programs embody the PA department core values of inclusivity, responsiveness, service, teaching excellence, and faculty satisfaction.
