Criminal Justice Program

Our Criminal Justice Program is academically oriented, and provides a Liberal Arts Baccalaureate Education that emphasizes:

  • writing and critical thinking skills,
  • a theoretical understanding of crime and the criminal justice system's response to crime,
  • data analysis,
  • policy formulation and policy analysis, and
  • the legal, ethical, administrative, and behavioral aspects of the criminal justice system and its various parts.

Please note that the Criminal Justice Program is NOT any of the following:

  • a professional training program,
  • a vocational program in applied science or human resources,
  • a law enforcement-training program,
  • a police-training institute,
  • a correctional officer-training academy.
