Our Criminal Justice Program is academically oriented, and provides a Liberal Arts Baccalaureate Education that emphasizes:
- writing and critical thinking skills,
- a theoretical understanding of crime and the criminal justice system's response to crime,
- data analysis,
- policy formulation and policy analysis, and
- the legal, ethical, administrative, and behavioral aspects of the criminal justice system and its various parts.
Please note that the Criminal Justice Program is NOT any of the following:
- a professional training program,
- a vocational program in applied science or human resources,
- a law enforcement-training program,
- a police-training institute,
- a correctional officer-training academy.
