American Democracy Project
The American Democracy Project (ADP) is a multi-campus initiative focused on higher education's role in preparing the next generation of information, engaged citizens for our democracy. The project began in 2003 as an initiative of the American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU), in partnership with the New York Times.
The goal of the American Democracy Project is to produce graduates who are committed to being active, involved citizens in their communities.

First Year Experience
The UW Oshkosh First-Year Experience program promotes student success and retention by helping students make a successful transition to the University, create a solid foundation for their academic, personal, and social growth, understand the values and ideals of a liberal education and of the University, and learn about campus programs and support services that promote individual success and degree completion.
Liberal Education and America's Promise (LEAP)
Liberal Education and America's Promise (LEAP) fosters campus action, public advocacy, and useful evidence to make the aims and outcomes of liberal education a guiding framework for all students' educational achievement. See College Learning for the New Global Century.
Wisconsin Campus Compact
UW Oshkosh is a member of the Wisconsin Campus Compact, a coalition of nearly 1,200 college and university presidents and chancellors who are committed to fulfilling the public purpose of higher education. As the only national association dedicated to this mission, Campus Compact is a leader in building civic engagement into campus and academic life. The Wisconsin Campus Compact's mission is to strengthen civic engagement and service-learning partnerships between Wisconsin's post-secondary institutions and the communities they serve.
