Grants & Faculty DevelopmentThe Office of Grants & Faculty Development supports UW Oshkosh faculty and academic staff, as well as students, in their creative, scholarly and research endeavors. We assist faculty and academic staff in locating, proposing, submitting and administering extramural funding. Our Faculty Development Program supports faculty and academic staff professional development. In addition, we support UW Oshkosh students through research symposia and collaborative research opportunities. |
Information Technology, Division of
The areas of Academic Computing, Telecommunications, Networking and Administrative Computing, Business Operations and Training, and Learning Technologies create the Division of Information Technology. Academic Computing contributes to the success of academic programs by managing and maintaining 5 general access computer labs across campus, managing e-mail and file storage systems, providing maintenance for computer technology across the campus; and delivering Help Desk services to the entire campus community. Telecommunications, Networking and Administrative Computing provide support to students, faculty and staff through maintenance and development of the administrative computing applications, database services, the campus core network infrastructure, and telecommunications systems. The Business Operations & Training office serves as a resource and provides courses on the use of essential software tools to faculty and staff. Learning Technologies offers a wide array of services through the Presentations Lab, Idea Lab, and the delivery of classroom technology, graphics and multimedia production, and the support of instructional technologies. |
Institutional ResearchThe Office of Institutional Research is responsible for the collection, analysis, interpretation, and dissemination of accurate and timely information on all aspects of the University in support of institutional decision-making, planning and reporting. |
International Education - Study AbroadThe Office of International Education is responsible for providing international students and visits scholars with immigration services, advising, and campus and community programming and for providing UW Oshkosh faculty, staff and students with services related to educational study abroad opportunities and educational exchanges. The Office of International Education works wit faculty leading study abroad programs to promote short-term programs to community members. |
Library, Forrest R. PolkPolk Library support the curricular and research needs of the University by providing reliable information and real service that is available 24/7. It provides access to books, videos, print periodicals, archival materials and many forms of electronic information, such as full text periodical articles from 45,161 periodical titles, 18,000 electronic books and more. Computer facilities within the library include 43 workstations in Polk 101, and a general computer access lab is located on the first floor of Polk, in Polk 118, for other computer needs. |
RegistrationThe Registrar's Office maintains and protects student academic records and course information while supporting the academic mission and policies of the University. Specific services to students include registration, transcripts, verifications, degree audits (STAR) and graduation. In addition, the Registrar's Office is responsible for the Undergraduate Bulletin, schedules of classes, the Veterans Resource Center and classroom scheduling. Services to faculty and staff include e-grading, and access to and training on the student information system. |
Student Opinion SurveyThe Student Opinion Survey (SOS) Program provides the materials instructors need to administer surveys in their classes. Survey data are collected through the use of Certified Survey Packets. Once a survey has been completed and returned, staff members process the surveys. |
Summer SessionThe University provides an array of course offerings in various delivery formats for students throughout the summer. |
Testing ServicesTesting Services provides test administration, test scoring and instructional assessment services which ascribe to nationally recognized professional testing standards and governmental regulations. |
University Honors ProgramThe University Honors Program is designed to challenge UW Oshkosh's best students to be critical thinkers, problem solvers, and community leaders through a special curriculum, co-curricular opportunities, and a supportive community The program is open to students pursuing any major in any of the university's four colleges. The faculty who teach in the University Honors Program meet specific standards regarding teaching effectiveness and professional activity established by the University Honors Council. |
