2006 Production Report :
- Twelve (12) litters for a total of 97 young. Litter size ranged 4-12, modes were 7 and 10, mean was 7.9. All sires and dams were first-time parents, themselves conceived and reared in captivity. Females were placed with males on 13 April; first litters were born on 16 May, last litter born was on 31 May.
- The calmest breeders from 2006 have been retained for the 2007 breeding season as we continue to select for a temperament that thrives in captivity. A selection of their offspring, also selected for temperament, will also be retained as 2007 breeders.
