1.) Brown Bag Lunches: Cover a wide range of topics related to teaching and learning from programmatic to pedagogical

2.) Teaching & Learning Strategies Sessions; Pedagogical based this year some are related to Brown Bags to create a dual perspective thematic approach to a topic: e.g. best practices for Smartboard usage in the classroom

3.) Workshops hands-on skills-based sessions typically with respect to attaining proficiency with technology e.g. this year some are related to Brown Bags to create a dual perspective thematic approach to a topic: Clicker usage in the classroom, Inserting Graphics in Word 2007

4.) Mini-Conferences: Address one topic in- depth (e.g. last year: UW-P NSSE data, SSI Reporting out)

5.) New Faculty Initiatives
            - Reading Group: Committee on Teaching and Learning
            - Sessions designed just for new faculty T&LC
            - Group Activities: Provost Office
            - Tenure-Track Interest Group

6.) Peer-Visitor Program: colleagues pair up for informal classroom visit - debrief

7.) Strategic Success Initiative Reporting Out
            - Projects of note: Summer Institute (funded for 09, OADD grant), 

8.) T&L New Services for 2008: Pilots
            - VCR -> Digital Video conversion
            - document -> .pdf conversion (target audience: web-based curriculum e.g. D2L)
            - Online data/survey collection
            - Digital Video/Sound file type conversion
            - Digital Video Editing (e.g. curriculum includes role play that was then posted to YouTube)

9.) Grants: 
         OPID Conference Development, Lesson Study, UTLG

10.) Assessment:
            - The Committee on Teaching and Learning has been looking into adding questions that refer to student learning to the end of the semester course evaluation forms
               - The General Education Committee is beginning a review by department for all General                 
                  Education courses

11.) First Year Experience
            - Freshman Read: effort to tie content to in-class curriculum where applicable
            - Multiple year long activities
