Fall 2008 Sixth Annual Convocation
This fall's convocation is scheduled for Thursday, September 18, at Pollock House at 5:00PM. This event gives UHP members a chance to celebrate the beginning of a new academic year, meet Honors students and faculty, and enjoy a reception afterwards. The UHP is honored to welcome this year's keynote speaker, Dr. Simon Sibelman.
Orientations for UHP Freshmen
Welcome, UHP Freshmen! The dates and times for important informational sessions for incoming Honors freshmen follow. We hope that you can attend one of them:
Monday, September 8: 1:50-2:50
Tues., September 9: 11:30-12:30 and 1:20-2:20
Wed., September 10: 3:00-4:00
Thurs., September 11: 3:00-4:00
Fall 2008 and Spring 2009 Honors Classes
UHP students began registering for Fall 2008 classes in March.
New: We've added another section of Communications 112, which will be held over the three-week interim (Monday through Friday 9AM-12PM) beginning January 5, 2009. This course is currently full; let us know if you'd like to be added to a waiting list (424-1303).
Also New: Honors Biology (BIO 108) will be offered Spring 2009 with Dr. Michalski.

Core Honors Courses--What Are They Again?
Depending on whether you began the UHP as a freshman or sophomore, here is a general summary of the Core Honors Course Requirements.
The Honors Lounge
A Mac, scanner, two PCs, and B&W printer are available to UHP participants in Polk 17. During the Fall and Spring semesters, we also have daily New York Times delivery. We hope that these items will be helpful when Honors students have some free time to spend in the lounge, which is open during regular UHP office hours.
Honors T-Shirts for Sale
Please stop by Polk 10 to our T-shirts! To purchase, bring your completed Order Form (see link below) plus exact cash or check (payable to UHSA) to Polk 8 or 10. Please ask anyone on staff to see various sizes and styles.
