Bonita Guarino, coordinator of the Greater Oshkosh Even Start, Head Start employees, Sharon Pearson, Jill Valdez, and Danielle Lueloff, and several members of the adult basic education class attended the rally for Family Literacy Day in Madison on September 24.
A proclamation from Governor Scott McCallum was read. The lions, from the PBS Family reading television series "Between the Lions" performed and interacted with the state leaders who shared succuss stories from Family Literacy participants. A reception was held in Madison Concorse Hotel. The Beloit Even start Dancers, the Wisconsin Family Literacy activities were featured at the reception.
