About
Tony, 24, lives in Oshkosh, Platteville, Oshkosh, Delafield, Platteville, WI Las Vegas, NV

BORN: I am told by my mother that I purchased on a Blue Light Special at K-Mart

CURRENTLY:Over the last five years, I studied Art Education at the University of Wisconsin at Oshkosh. Last year recently returned from Manchester, England, where I was doing my student teaching with Years 7-11 (equivalent to grades 6-10 in the States) at Patrick's RC High School and Arts College.

Things have been crazy over here ever since getting back, as I had virtually no money (which is ok, I am used to it I guess. It happens to me every time I return from Europe, especially England... wonder why.) Otherwise I had been keeping busy working odd jobs substitute teaching at St. John's Northwestern Military Academy and other temporary work (i.e. making pizzas at Steve's Pizza), until I found a permanent teaching position, and otherwise surviving on the little I had.

That is, until I landed my teaching position (teaching high school Photography) in the Clark County School District.

INTERESTS: I live on coffee and tea. I enjoy long, three-course meals with good conversation, making ceramic mugs and other functional pottery, taking digital photographs, knitting, smaller iPods, and commenting on culture (i.e. "being an elitist").

LATEST INSPIRATIONS: Rhizomes, Performatism, colonial British anthropologists, curiosity cabinets, Stoicism, the American West

READS: Mediations by Marcus Aurelius, anything by Diane Ackerman, Infidel by Ayaan Hirsi Ali, Life of Pi by Yann Martel, Days of Obligation by Richard Rodriquez (and in general the non-fiction novel)

LISTENING TO: The Arcade Fire, Mika, Feist, The Ting Tings, Bonobo, Andrew Bird

LOOKING AT: Tam Wai-ping, Santiago Calatrava, Daumier, Sally Mann, Josef Sudek, Annie Liebovitz

WATCHING: Project Runway, Ugly Betty, Brothers & Sisters, presidential conventions; The L Word via Youtube, Lost (also via YoutTube); in fact most everything I watch is done via Youtube

OF VALUE: When cultural issues seem to make my life difficult my thoughts are with Augustine (and the "Dark" Ages), the Midwest, the Anglosphere, Pliny, the 1755 Lisbon Earthquake
