Assessments of individual clients to determine focus of counseling relationship; Individual counseling; Group counseling; Common issues include: depression, loss, and adjustment to long term care, grief, end of life issues, AODA, and smoking cessation.
Geriatric, spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis, chronically mentally ill, and developmentally disabled individuals.
Basic clinical assessment skills; Knowledge of medical terminology; Knowledge of mental illness.
