Teacher Education with a Writing Focus (formerly APPLE)

The Teacher Education program provides academic and professional development courses and activities to help students prepare for teaching majors in college while enhancing their writing skills and abilities.
The following summer courses will be offered in the 2017 Teacher Education Program: Speech Communication, Mathematics, English Composition, Language Arts, Language & Literacy, Special Education, Sign Language, and Developing and Presenting a Lesson Plan. Time management, note taking and study skills will also be offered this summer, in addition to financial aid and admissions college preparatory and exploring career options.
Teacher Education students also participate in recreational activities such as bowling, roller-skating, basketball, swimming and volleyball.
In collaboration with the UW Oshkosh College of Education and Human Services (COEHS), the 2016 summer programs participants are invited back for a spring campus visit in 2017 to further support and encourage students to pursue a post-secondary education.
