The Department of Political Science at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh invites applications for a tenure-track position at the assistant professor level with a specialty in public policy to begin in Fall 2014. Responsibilities include teaching, advising students, professional research, and service. The successful candidate will be prepared to teach American public policy, policy analysis, and develop courses in one or more areas of policy specialization (such as health, immigration, welfare, public finance, or environment). Teaching introductory courses in American politics and civic engagement is expected as well. The department prefers candidates with a Ph.D. in hand or ABDs soon to defend a dissertation, with demonstrated excellence in teaching.
