Background:

Susan, Development Coordinator, looks for opportunities and potential clients. Talks to people, explains what CCDET does would like to leave them with supplemental material that reinforces what was covered in the face to face meeting. Goal is increase in revenue. Quality is a key message. Also, come to you in your neighborhood.

Work is driven by state policy changes. Effects of change.

Career development mentors. At all stages.

Extramural - no GPR for americorp

The Audience:

Description of CCDET, History. Four targeted areas 1 Training Related Services, 2 Project Management, 3 Case Management (in the social work sense), 4 Quality Assurance. Primary: Potential Clients (people who hire CCDET): State agencies, departments (Dept. of Children and family, Dept. of Health Services, Workforce), Private consulting firms, Non-profit orgs. Secondary: Other agencies who contract with state agencies

40-65 age bracket is hiring CCDET

But also needs to appeal to students. Work with them as well. Americorp, TIP, Intern positions. Connect students w/practical experience. Community service aspect. Scholarships.

Next step: more faculty connection.

Objectives:

Increase Revenue. Convince potential clients to hire CCDET, How do we convince? ...internal statistics?

The Message:

Help people provide quality service to their clients. Aligning with overall mission of the university. Partnership - expertise of the university at your fingertips. Community Service - Americorp, connects students to community. People stationed around the state, Madison, Mil, Eau Claire and more. Coming to you in your neighborhood. Service anywhere. Serving state and beyond.

Tone and Image:

Professional, serious, sophisticated, smart, ease of use, flexible. Imagery - online more and more. Modern approaches to training, networked, ability to work at a distance. Show the end goal, the process?

Gold and black are okay but must fit within the sophisticated palette.

The Medium/Channel:

Susan meets with potential clients. Would like information to leave with them. Possibility of insert templates they can update to accommodate an ever-changing environment.

A next step would be a web site revamping. This would happen after the UWO web site. More discussions would be needed. Web site is currently confusing needs to be more clear. A second phase.

Other Requirements:

Needs to fit within overall UWO brand. In a more sophisticated way than student audience projects. Think more sophisticated color palette and imagery.

The Deadline:

Do need this work done soon. Mentioned as a kind of needed yesterday thing. But not hair on fire.

Budget:

Like the mention of 1000 pieces under $1000. Susan and Pat will discuss budget and report back with budget.
