Here are some of the things we have been ironing out in IT/IMC web development team meetings chaired by the Provost.

• prioritized list of web sites to move to Plone and/or to the new campus skin
• intranet implementation planning
• coordination between IT and IMC of how we tackle and follow through on web site migration projects

Priority List

The vice chancellors have received and are expected to approve a prioritized list of web sites that we will be moving to Plone and to the new campus skin.  Priorities are 1 through 5, with 1 being the highest.  It is my hope that once this priority list has been approved we will post a live copy of it where everyone can check it to see if their site is in the list, where it is in the priority scheme, and possibly get an idea of when they might expect to have their site done. 

Intranets

We have been thinking of three levels of intranets on our campus:

A group will be formed whose goal will be to develop and recommend procedures for managing what goes where.

Coordination

We have agreed to have IT and IMC present at all "client" web migration project meetings. This will ensure that everyone is in the loop, whether it's from a technical implementation, content organization/copywriting, or project management perspective.
