Accessibility Standards

All web sites must comply with accessibility standards

Plone sites comply with accessibility standards, such as Section 508 and Web Accessibility Initiative, when they are first created.  Adherence to these standards is extremely important for those who use screen readers or have other visual impairments.

UW Oshkosh includes in its web standards the requirement that

(l)       All pages must meet the W3C (World Wide Web Consortium) Content Accessibility Guidelines, Priority 1 Levels (http://www.w3.org/TR/WCAG/)

For the details of the UW Oshkosh web policies, please see http://www.acs.uwosh.edu/documentation/acceptable-use.html.

To ensure that your web site is in compliance with these standards, you can use the following online web site validator:

All UW Oshkosh Plone sites must comply with these accessibility standards.
