how to change the logo.png to point to another site rather than uwosh.edu/home

Look in portal_view_customizations for uwosh.themebase.banner. It refers to a portal property called uwosh_home_url which you can change to anything you want. In ZMI go to root of the site, then click Properties tab to see that variable.
