What if you can't revoke a role from a group?

You try to uncheck a role for a particular group in the prefs_groups_overview page but it doesn't seem to work

The problem I ran into is that on the the /latinamericanstudies site I wanted to revoke Manager role from the LAS Faculty group, but no matter how many times I unchecked the box for Manager role for that group and pressed the Apply Changes button, that role remained there.

The problem was that someone included the LAS Faculty group insidethe Administrators group. The Plone UI does not seem to show nested groups.

To get around this, go to the ZMI for the site, then into acl_users/source_groups/manage_groups. There you get the full UI that shows you nested group memberships.
