How to add PIL (Python Imaging Library) to your Python

In case you're working with your own Plone buildouts (rather than the unified installer), when you get messages about PIL not being installed correctly you can use this to add PIL (Pillow):

Once you untar it, do something like::

cd src
cp -pr ~/Downloads/Pillow-1.7.5 .
cd Pillow-1.7.5/
ls
../../bin/python setup.py build
../../bin/python setup.py test
../../bin/python setup.py install
