How to grant Manager access to a site
How to grant full permissions to someone, and how not to do it
Someone with Manager role has full access to a site: full view/edit permissions on content, site configuration, access to the Zope Management Interface (ZMI).
Recommended Way
The recommended way to grant Manager role to someone is to go to Site Setup -> Users and Groups -> Groups tab -> Administrators group, look up the person by name, then add the person's account to the Administrators group. We recommend this method because finding out who on a site has Manager role is as easy as looking up who is a member of the Administrators group.
Not Recommended
The way we DO NOT recommend is to go to Site Setup -> Users and Groups, look up the person by name, then check the box for Manager role. The reason we do not recommend doing it this way is that it makes it much more difficult to track down who on a site has Manager role.
