Step by step instructions (text and graphics); for video version of this how-to, see related items below.
You can redistribute any Plone news or events listing from another site on your own site.
This explains how to create an RSS feed portlet of the events listed at http://www.uwosh.edu/home/events.
- On the uwosh.edu/home site, you can grab the URL of its events' RSS feed by clicking on the "Upcoming events..." link (either the orange all-caps one or the lowercase blue one):

- Depending on your browser, at the top of your browser, it its address bar, you will see an "RSS" icon
. In Firefox, it looks like this:

and when I click on that blue button, it takes me to http://www.uwosh.edu/home/events/aggregator/RSS
- Copy that URL to your clipboard.
- On your site, log in and make sure you're at the home page of your site. Click on the link "Manage portlets" (on whichever side of the page, if you see more than one).

- Click the "Add portlet..." drop down on whichever side of the page you want your RSS portlet to appear (in your case, I suggest the left side), and choose "RSS Feed".

- In the page that appears, paste the URL of the RSS feed (in this case,http://www.uwosh.edu/home/events/aggregator/RSS) into the 2nd field, and leave the other two field values as is. Press Save.

- You may then want to change the order in which the portlets will appear in your left column, by clicking the blue up or down arrows next to each of your (now 3) portlets' names (navigation, contact us, and RSS feed). Then press the "Save settings" button.

- Press the Return link or the blue title bar to get back to your home page.

- The result (you may have Shift-Reload Firefox to force it to reload without cache):
