Socratic Award

When at least one graduating major attains an impressively high grade point average in philosophy courses, the Socratic Award is given to the graduating philosophy major or other majors with the top average(s). The award, which has been in effect since 1971, consists of a certificate honoring the recipient and a gift from the Department of Philosophy.
