Handicapped/Disabled Parking

A number of parking spaces throughout various lots on campus are designated for handicapped parking. These parking spaces are clearly marked and are restricted for use by individuals displaying a valid handicapped permit or handicapped license plate AND a valid UW Oshkosh parking permit.  Any vehicle displaying both these permits may be parked in any disabled parking space on campus.  Any vehicle that does not display both permits will be ticketed.

UW Oshkosh parking permits can be purchased in the Parking Services office.

Vehicles with handicapped permits may be parked at meters; however, meter fees must still be paid.

Handicapped permits (temporary and permanent) and handicapped license plates can only be obtained from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation.

Faculty and staff:  Permits for the 2013-2014 academic year are available for pick-up if you pre-ordered or for purchase if you did not pre-order.  Please visit us in our office in the lower level of Blackhawk Commons.  If you have any questions, please contact us at parking@uwosh.edu or 920-424-4455.

Commuter students:  Permits for the 2013-2014 academic year are available for sale in our office in the lower level of Blackhawk Commons.  If you have any questions, please contact our office at parking@uwosh.edu or 920-424-4455.

Students who are living in a residence hall:  Postcards for the permit lottery were only recently mailed because of a delay from the permit vendor.  If you applied by July 31 and have not received a postcard by end of day Thursday, Aug. 29, you may call or email us so that we can check what permit you will receive.  If you applied late, we are still working through permits that may be available.  If you did not apply, the permits are sold out but you may email us if you wish to be placed on a waiting list and indicate what permit you would prefer.  If you have any questions, please contact our office at parking@uwosh.edu or 920-424-4455.
