Metered parking Meter

Metered parking is available in some campus lots (see map) at a rate of $1.00 per hour.  Meters are enforced Monday through Thursday 6 a.m.–midnight and on Fridays 6 a.m.–4:00 p.m. Parking is not permitted in metered spaces after midnight. When a lot is closed, the meters located at that lot may not be used.

Permits are not a substitute for meter payments.

Vehicles with handicapped permits may be parked at meters; however, meter fees must still be paid.

After the first ticket is issued for meters and time-limited loading zones, additional tickets may be issued every 20 minutes (20-minute meter), every half hour (30-minute meters), every hour (one-hour meters) or every four hours (four-hour meters) of illegal parking in those areas.

Parking meters are located in the following lots:

Pay-and-display stations Pay and Display Station

Pay-and-display stations are available on High Avenue and Osceola Street and in Lot 15 (across from Reeve Memorial Union). These stations allow you to purchase a parking permit, valid in increments of six minutes to 16 hours. The rate for High Avenue and Osceola Street is $1.00 per hour and the rate for Lot 15 is $1.50 per hour.  The pay stub (permit) must be placed on the passenger side of the front dash in such a way that it is clearly visible to enforcement staff. Expired pay stubs must be removed from the dash. Parking is not permitted in non-resident lots midnight–6 a.m. or on city streets 2–5 a.m.  Parking is not permitted in Lot 15 midnight–6 a.m. Tuesday through Friday.

Pay-by-space stations Pay by Space

Pay-by-space stations for parking on the first level of the High Avenue parking ramp (located on the corner of High Avenue and Osceola Street) are available in the parking ramp stairwells. Rates are $1.00 per hour.

To Use:

  1. Pull into a parking space on the first level of the parking ramp.  REMEMBER the number of the parking space.

  2. Go to the pay-by-space pay stations located in the stairwells of the ramp.

  3. Type in the space number and press ENTER.

  4. Insert bills and/or coins to add time.

  5. Press the GREEN button to validate the transaction and print receipt.  (If the GREEN button is not pushed, the transaction will NOT be valid.)
