UWO Parking - Visitors

Visitors to campus have five parking options:

Metered Parking
The cost of metered parking is Nickel = 6 minutes, Dime = 12 minutes, and a Quarter = 30 minutes. Red parking meters are 15 minutes only. Meters are enforced from 6:00am to 9:00pm Monday through Thursday and from 6:00am to 4:30pm on Fridays. Parking is not permitted in metered spaces from midnight to 6:00am. When the lot is closed meters there may not be used. For locations of meters on campus please visit Meters & Pay Stations.

Pay and Display Pay Stations
Our "Pay and Display" pay stations are available on High Avenue and Oseola Street. These stations allow you to purchase a parking permit at a rate of 50 cents per hour valid in increments ranging from 6 minutes to 16 hours. The permit must be placed on the passenger side of the front dash in such a way that it is readable from the outside. Parking is not permitted on High Avenue or Oseola Street from 2:00am to 5:00am. Parking Ramp - Pay by Space Pay Stations
Our parking ramp has "Pay by Space" pay stations in the stairwells. Just pull in, remember the number of the space you are parking in, then pay for your space as you are leaving the ramp. The parking ramp is located on the corner of High Avenue and Oseola Street. Rates are 50 cents per hour. For more information please visit Meters & Pay Stations.

Visitors Parking Permit
These permits are bright green in color and can be purchased at our information booth in Lot #15 between High Avenue and Algoma Blvd (across from Reeve Union), our Parking Services office in the lower level of Blackhawk Commons, or University Books & More located inside Reeve Union. The cost of a daily visitor permit (valid from 6:00am to midnight) is $2 per day. Please note these permits are not valid in metered spaces. Guest lecturers or candidates for employment may obtain a free parking permit if the host department requests the free permit in writing.

Overnight Visitor Parking
Any visitors requiring overnight parking must use the "Pay by Space" meters in the parking ramp or purchase an overnight permit. Overnight permits cost $6 and are only available at the Parking Services Office or at the Information Booth during regular business hours. Overnight visitor permits are valid until 9:00am on the date of the permit.

Overnight visitor parking permits are only valid in the parking ramp.

Visitors staying as guests in a Resident Hall may only purchase parking for a maximum of two consecutive nights.
