What is the Panhellenic Council?

Every woman who joins a sorority becomes a member of the Panhellenic Association. The word Panhellenic derives from the Greek roots "pan," meaning "all," and "hellenic," meaning "Greek." The association brings sorority members together to work toward common goals for the benefit of the community.

A council made up of a representative from each sorority governs the Panhellenic Association. This council meets every week to develop policies and discuss community issues.

An executive board composed of eight officers and an advisor represents the Panhellenic Association. The objective of the association is to oversee the membership recruitment process.

The Panhellenic executive board officers play an integral role in the sorority. Their responsibilities include: anything with the recruitment process and they are available year round to answer your questions.
