The Voice of the Student Body

Initially established in 1959, the Oshkosh Student Government (OSG) advocates for the best interests of the students at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh regarding issues and policies relating to academic and non-academic concerns. The State of Wisconsin allows all students to provide input in all operations of the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh.

Voicing Opinions, Representing the Student Body

The OSG is instrumental in voicing the student body’s opinions to UWO administration, faculty, and staff as well as Universities on Wisconsin administration and representatives. OSG hosts monthly student Town Hall meetings to discuss topics most pressing to the student body, encouraging every student to voice their opinions about a topic in person.

The OSG currently supports approximately 170 student organizations at UW Oshkosh and oversees the approval and recognition of these student organizations.

OSG Mission

The Oshkosh Student Government (OSG) works inclusively towards advocating for and representing the voice of the student body by ensuring integrity, stewardship, and diversity to enhance the experience of every student within the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh.

OSG Vision

The Oshkosh Student Government (OSG) looks to grow the organization to amplify its advocacy across the shared governance on campus and across the state by promoting students, sustainability, diversity, and progressive leadership.
