What is IV?
InterVarsity Christian Fellowship is a campus ministry committed to spreading the light of the Gospel of Jesus Christ at colleges and universities across the nation as a part of a larger national organization. The UWOshkosh chapter of IV is lead by a student leadership team and staff worker, and supports the national IVCF faith statement:
In response to God's love, grace
and truth:
The Purpose of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship/USA is to establish and advance
at colleges and universities witnessing communities of students and faculty
who follow Jesus as Savior and Lord: growing in love for God, God's Word, God's
people of every ethnicity and culture and God's purposes in the world.

What do we believe?
InterVarsity is an evangelical Christian
fellowship that believes that the Bible is divinely inspired word of God and
that it is entirely trustworthy, and has the authority to be applied in our
lives today.
We believe that in the beginning there was Man and God
in perfect harmony, but because of disobedience to God (called sin), there is
now a gap between ourselves and God. We are unable to bridge this gap on our
own. But because God loved man so much -- He sent his Son to us named Jesus
Christ.
Jesus
came to earth and was God made flesh. He then was crucified on the cross so
that he might pay for our sins. He then was buried and on the third day, rose
again and his bodily resurrection was witnessed by many. After he rejoined the
Father in heaven, Jesus sent to earth the Holy Spirit so that we might be guided
and strengthened in the truth. Jesus' sacrifice bridges the gap between Man
and God, and through faith in Christ, we are made new and have eternal life.
We also expect the personal return of Jesus Christ,
when He will call all of his children unto Him and time will be no more.
