Levels and Curriculum

Levels of Proficiency

The following levels of English proficiency are offered at the Intensive English Program subject to adequate student enrollment :

1. Intermediate (TOEFL: IBT 44-46 or IELTS: 5.0 + interpretation of sub-scores)

2. High Intermediate (TOEFL: IBT 59-61 or IELTS: 5.5 + interpretation of sub-scores)

Instruction Weekly Schedule

Core curriculum for this program includes the following at each level:

 Writing and Grammar for Academic Purposes [3 hrs.]
 Reading and Vocabulary for Academic Purposes [3 hrs.]
 US Culture Studies and Information Technology [3 hrs.]
 Pronunciation and Listening for US Classrooms and Pronunciation practice [3 hrs.]
 Speaking and Presentations for  Academic Purposes [3 hrs.]
 English Language Usage Tutoring [1 hr.]

 Writing Tutoring [1 hr.]
 Conversation Partners Practice [1 hr.] 

 Field Trips [monthly]
