2012-2013 Undergraduate Application Process
Thank you for your interest in applying to the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh! Please follow the directions below to complete the application process.

| Application and Application Fee | Complete the online application and the $44.00 application fee at https://apply.wisconsin.edu/. |
| Official Transcripts (*see below) | Must list all classes that you have taken and the grades that you have received from all secondary schools, colleges, or universities that you have attended or are currently attending. |
| Official Certificate/ Diploma | Official certificates of completion or diplomas should be submitted to verify graudation. |
| Declaration of Finances Form | Must be signed by both the student and all financial sponsors. |
| Bank statements | Proof of adequate funding and/or sponsorship is required for the full estimated expenses which is $28,270. Just submitting a letter from the bank is insufficient. |
| English Proficiency Examination Results (**see below) | Required for all international students whose native language is not English. Official score reports must be forwarded to UW Oshkosh directly from the testing agency. See below for minimum scores. |

*Official Transcripts:
- Should be sent directly by the issuing institution to UW Oshkosh.
- Must be in the original language accompanied by official English translations.
- Transfer students must provide detailed course descriptions/syllabi for all university-level work to be considered for transfer credit.
- Final transcripts of all coursework in progress must be submitted after completion.
**UW Oshkosh accepts the following English proficiency examinations:
- TOEFL 71 iBT or higher; use UW Oshkosh Institution Code "1916" when registering for test
- IELTS 6.0 or higher
- STEP/EIKEN completion of Level 1 ONLY for students whose native language is Japanese
- Successful completion of UW Oshkosh Intensive English Program (IEP)
- Successful completion of 1 year (approximately 30 credits) at a U.S. college or univeristy
- Earned high school degree from an institution where English is the primary language of instruction
- Successful completion of ELS Language Center Level 112
- Successful completion of Wisconsin English as a Second Language Institute (WESLI) Level 700; plus rating of "very good" in academic reading, writing, listening, and speaking; and minimum 75 on the Michigan Test of English Language Proficiency

Once you have submitted the required documentation, the university will evaluate all of your materials. The evaluation will take approximately two weeks to complete. After an admissions decision has been made, you will be notified by email.
UW Oshkosh International Student Services will issue an I-20 form only after acceptance by the Admissions Office and verification of adequate financial resources as required by federal regulations. UW Oshkosh encourages the enrollment of qualified international students in suitable programs and seeks to attract students whose academic potential has already been recognized in their home countries. An international student is classified for educational purposes as a person who is a citizen or permanent resident of a country other than the United States. UW Oshkosh is authorized under federal law to enroll nonimmigrant students. ISS also attempts to ensure that the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh complies with all applicable laws set forth by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, the U.S. Department of State, and other government agencies.
