Yes.
Due by the Friday following the application deadline:
Passport Copy
Turn in EITHER a copy of the picture page of your passport OR a copy of your completed passport application with a copy of the receipt from the courthouse showing that you have applied for your passport. * It is illegal for government facilities to copy passport applications. Therefore, you must PRINT two copies of your application before you go to apply. THE OIE WILL NOT ACCEPT HANDWRITTEN PASSPORT APPLICATIONS. We have had too many students with incorrect information on their passports.Program-specific Materials Deadline
Many programs have application requirements specific to the program. You are responsible for reading the information on the web page for your program and for turning in additional materials by the deadlines. The deadline is typically the same as the study abroad application deadline or the following Friday.
Can I apply to study abroad after the application deadline?
Check with the OIE. In some cases, it may be possible to apply to study abroad after the application deadline. However, the study abroad grant deadline is fixed and cannot be extended.
Are programs ever cancelled?
For faculty-led programs: Very few UW Oshkosh-sponsored programs have been cancelled. Cancellation can be due to low enrollment, dramatic exchage rate fluctuations, health or safety concerns or other factors. All applicants will be notified shortly after the application deadline if we have low enrollment.
If I don't apply for Financial Aid initially on my study abroad application, can I apply later?
Yes. Applicants who turn in a study abroad application and choose not to apply for financial aid initially can update their application in the OIE to include application for financial aid at a later date (even after the application deadline). Simply stop by the OIE to fill in the information on your original application.
If I applied for Financial Aid on my study abroad application but later decided not to accept Financial Aid, do I need to update my application with the OIE?
No. You can simply decline your financial aid through the financial aid office. There is no need to update your application with the OIE.
