Registration and Advisement Information

Information for International Students:

Before you can complete registration for courses at UW Oshkosh, you must meet with your academic advisor. The International Student Advisor must also verify the following information for all international students in F-1 and J-1 status each term.

This information includes:

1. Verification of your valid immigration status.
2. Verification of personal identification information.
3. Local address and telephone number.
4. Verification of a full-time class load. 

REGISTRATION INFORMATION-INTERNATIONAL HOLDS:

Please note that all international students here on an F-1 visa will have a registration ‘hold’ placed in Titan Web. This is simply a hold which will prevent you from dropping below full-time status. You may still add and drop courses as usual. If you need to drop and add a class and will momentarily be required to drop below full-time, please try adding the new class first and then dropping the class you no longer need. If this will not work because of a time conflict or other reason, please complete a course swap form in the registration center. Brian can also temporarily remove the hold to permit you to make your class changes.

Your Student Advisement Record form must indicate a full-time course load. If you have registration holds from other offices, you must go to the appropriate office and have the hold(s) removed before we can remove the International Student hold. Our office will make photocopies of your important documents for your student file.

YOU MUST USE ALL CAPS
USERID- W followed by your 7 digit ID number - e.g. W1234567
PASSWORD - first two letters of your first name, first two letters of your last name and the last four numbers of your ID number
e.g. Mickey Mouse - 1234567 - MIMO4567
