We are looking forward to having you at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh for the Fall 2008 term. To ensure that your arrival and stay at the University are pleasant and rewarding, we are providing the following information:
1) IMPORTANT: PLEASE EMAIL YOUR ARRIVAL INFORMATION TO BRIAN MYLREA AT iss@uwosh.edu AS SOON AS IT IS KNOWN SO THAT WE CAN PREPARE FOR YOUR ARRIVAL.
2) ARRIVAL: Please plan to arrive no later than Monday, August 25, 2008. You must report for check-in to the Office of Internationla Education, Dempsey Hall 146 anytime from 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM on Tuesday, August 26, 2008.
PLEASE BRING YOUR PASSPORT, I-94 CARD, AND I-20 FORM TO THE CHECK-IN. Report to Dempsey Hall again at 2:00 PM for a campus tour and to be issued your student identification card
YOU MAY NOT ENTER THE US MORE THAN 30 DAYS PRIOR TO THE START DATE INDICATED ON YOUR I-20 OR DS-2019 FORM
3) HOUSING: Temporary housing is available for all students at Gruenhagen Conference Center.
• Students who have returned their housing contracts to UW Oshkosh will not be charged while staying at Gruenhagen Conference Center and will be allowed to move into their assigned residence hall on Saturday, August 23, 2008.
• Students who have not returned a residence hall contract will be charged a fee ($12 per night) while staying at Gruenhagen Conference Center and will not be allowed to move into their residence hall (if choosing to live on campus) until Saturday, August 23, 2008, unless Residence Life is able to make other arrangements.
• Students arriving earlier than Saturday, August 23, 2008, are responsible for their Gruenhagen Conference Center lodging costs for the additional nights.
• Undergraduate students who have earned less than 60 credits are required to live in a residence hall.
4) MEALS: From Saturday, August 23, 2008 through lunch on Saturday, August 30, 2008 on-campus food service is not available. Meals begin with dinner on Sunday, August 31.
Fast food restaurants, such as Hardees, Papa John's (pizza), Subway, Erberts & Gerberts, etc. are within walking distance from campus and are relatively inexpensive.

Tuesday, August 26
8-12:00 Noon - International Student Check-In
Dempsey Hall Room 146
Bring your passport, I‑94, and I-20 or DS‑2019
2:00 PM - UW Oshkosh Campus Tour
Report to the Office of International Education, Dempsey Hall Room 146, for a guided tour of UW Oshkosh campus and receipt of Titan Card. (Note: Graduates will be assessed a $ fee for their Titan Card.)
Wednesday, August 27
8:45 AM - Orientation Meetings
Report to the RU Room 306, for orientation
with Brian Mylrea, Advisor to International Students
Bring your passport, I‑94, and I-20 or DS‑2019
12:00 Noon - Lunch in Blackhawk Commons.
1:00 PM - Continued orientation

Thursday, August 28 - UNDERGRADUATE
9:00 AM - Testing
Those who need to test, report to the International Student Advisor’s Office, Dempsey 146, go to Polk Library for Math and English placement tests at Polk Library.
Please bring your non-graphing calculator.
(NOTE: There is a $5.00 fee for each test taken. You must
pay on the day the test is taken.)
1:00 PM - Orientation to TitanWeb
Meet in Dempsey 146
2:00-4:00PM - Registration
Return to Advisement/Registration Center
