Satan Week

Satan Week is Obsidian Enlightenment's flagship event, heralding the message of Satanism in key programs throughout the week. Learn what Satanism is and what it is not from the goat's mouth, so-to-speak.
Satan Week is held every Fall semester on the last week of October.

Satan Week for the 2002-2003 School Year:
- Monday, October 28 @ 7:00pm in the Reeve Union Wisconsin Room - "Satanism from the Satanic Perspective"
How does a Satanist view the world? Are there moral codes that one follows? Is there a such thing as "sin" in Satanism? Do Satanists always wear black? Aren't Satanists just basically a pack of rebellious youth? Where do Satanists get the required number of sacrificial virgins for their rituals without getting caught by law enforcement?
Learn all of that and more at this program. There is a Question&Answer session afterwards as well, for those pesky unanswered questions. Food/Snacks will also be available during the presentation. - Wednesday, October 30 @ 7:00pm in Reeve 221 - "Satanism: What a Bunch of Crap"
Hear Obsidian Enlightenment members as they criticize their so-called name-sake! We will attempt to point out the legitimate (to us) failings of Satanism as a religion. As a group that prides itself on skepticism of any and all formalized religions and establishments, this one should come as no surprise. Plan to hear criticisms of Satanism FROM Satanists and those who really know what the Satanic religion is all about. These aren't your average no-brainer criticisms based on the weak minds of concerned mothers or nervous fat guys with canes! These are real, and it took some thinking to iron them out. - Thursday, October 31 @ 8:00pm in the Reeve Union Theater - Movie: "Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer"
This movie was rated number 8 on a list of the 13 most disturbing movies ever made (compiled by Stanley Wiater). If you're up for a little gut-wrenching horror for your Halloween before you go out and get smashed at some costume party dressed up as a diarrhetic Elvis Presley Smurf Thingamajig, stop on by!
