The Girls of Summer: catcher Maggie Redman, junior at the Oshkosh State Teachers College, makes the play, as Norm Lauer, OSTC senior and professional umpire, called the “staged” play. When not in school to become a teacher, Redman played professional ball for the Grand Rapids Chicks, part of the American Girls Baseball League.
