UW Oshkosh hosts education fair
for campus community

OSHKOSH, Wis. – (9/21/07) University of Wisconsin Oshkosh will present hundreds of potential students with options for their future education at a Wisconsin Education Fair (WEF). The fair will be held 9-11 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 27, at Kolf Sports Center.

The event, which is scheduled to occur at 20 venues throughout the state this fall, was brought to the UW Oshkosh to aid Oshkosh and surrounding communities.

“It’s the ideal place for high school students, parents, guidance staff and citizens to get information about post-secondary educational opportunities in Wisconsin and beyond,” said Laurie Stevens, UW Oshkosh assistant director of admissions and coordinator of the event.

Representatives from about 100 universities and colleges, technical schools, trade schools and military branches will collaborate at Kolf Sports Center, 785 High Ave., to provide information and answer questions.

Area high schools are invited to bus students to the event. In addition, parents, students and the general public are encouraged to attend. There will be no formal presentations. Instead, participants are encouraged to meet personally with representatives.
