Retired couple stays connected to campus

Barbara and Ken Cook both may have retired from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, but they can still be spotted often at University athletics and cultural events.

  • UW Oshkosh has received $4,150 from University of Wisconsin System Institute on Race and Ethnicity for "Images of Indians in Children's Literature." Miriam Schacht, English, is the project director.
  • University of Wisconsin System Solid Waste Research Program has allocated $29,435 to UW Oshkosh for Cladophora Biomass Diversion from Landfill and Investigation of Reuse Options. Mary Seaman, biology and microbiology, is project director.
  • Julie Henderson, journalism, has joined the editorial review board of Revista Romana de Marketing, a scholarly marketing journal. Click here to read more.
  • Living Healthy Community Clinic, a health clinic for the uninsured operated by the College of Nursing, has received $189,667 from the Department of Health and Human Services Health Resources and Services Administration. Leona Whitman is the clinic director.
  • UW Oshkosh has received $4,950 from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, Bureau of Fisheries Management for Critical Habitat Designation Program. Michael Lizotte, director of the Aquatic Research Laboratory, is project director.
