Dr. Charles Hill, Interim Director
Charlie Hill received a Ph.D. in Rhetoric from Carnegie Mellon University in 1992. Since 1993, he has been a faculty member in the Department of English at UW Oshkosh. In that time, he has served as Director of the Writing Center, Director of the Computer Writing & Research Lab, and Coordinator of the Theme-Based Inquiry Seminar program. He served as Chair of the English Department for three years and has published articles in journals such as Computers and Composition, the Journal of Computer Documentation, and Written Communication.
Dr. Hill has been a key contributor to the new Bachelor of Applied Studies in Leadership and Organizational Studies and a welcomed asset to the CNL team. His office is located in Dempsey 111.
James Frascona, Operations Coordinator
Jim's responsibilities include coordinating the staffing of courses and working with other CNL instructors, as well as developing credit transfer agreements with other institutions. Jim has taught for CNL since 2000 and for UW Oshkosh since 1996. His teaching experience includes courses in social work, leadership and management, organizational behavior, occupations and adult learning. Jim has also worked as a mental health counselor and human resources professional, and has masters degrees in social work and business administration. His office is located in Dempsey 322
Cynthia Brun, Program Coordinator
Cindy has been with the Center for New Learning since Fall 2006. She comes to the Center with 25+ years of experience in nontraditional adult education. She is the Program Coordinator for the Organizational Administration Online program and the Fire and Emergency Response Management program, as well as an instructor for the Center of New Learning.
Cindy received her Bachelors degree from Creighton University, Omaha, NE, and her Masters degree in Continuing Adult & Vocational Education form the University of Wisconsin Madison. Her office is located in Dempsey 322.
Amanda Bain, Program Assistant
Amanda Bain joined the Center for New Learning in 2007. She is a graduate of UW Oshkosh with a degree in Social Work. Prior to coming to the Center for New Learning she worked at the Boys and Girls Club in Appleton and as an optician at Fox Valley Vision Care. Her office is located in Dempsey 322.
