Welcome to the UW Oshkosh Double Reed Studios Page!
Come and be a part of an active group of students learning about the world of music through double reed instruments. Music is a broad field, and double reed students may pursue degrees in all of the available programs: Music Education, Music Performance, Music Industry (including emphases in business and recording), and Composition. Oboe and bassoon students also contribute as performers in the Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Symphony Orchestra, various chamber ensembles, and in solo ventures. In recent history, the oboe and bassoon studios have enthusiastically combined to present recitals in the spring semesters that include solo works and chamber ensembles. In the fall of 2010, the double reed students enthusiastically donated reeds to the charity Double Reeds For Haiti.
