Music Preview Day
November 18, 2015. Come spend a day with us, tour the campus, and meet with our faculty and students. This event is for students wishing to stay involved with music in college, including those seeking a career in a diverse and challenging field. UW Oshkosh Music Department offers a number of music degree programs, including Music Education, Performance, Music Business, Recording Technology and Composition. A minor is also offered for those wishing to stay involved with music, but with a major in a different area.
Admission to UW Oshkosh
The first step to becoming a music major or minor, or simply participating in one of our ensembles is to apply for admission to the university. For more information either follow the link or contact the Office of Admissions, Dempsey Hall, (920) 424-0202.
Admission to the Department of Music (Auditions)
Admission to all Music programs (Majors and Minors, with the exception of the Music Industry Minor) requires successful completion of an Entrance Audition. Please see Audition Information for details about deadlines, procedures, and guidelines.
Scholarships are available for new, incoming freshmen. To be considered for one of these, a student must successfully complete a Scholarship Audition (which doubles as the Entrance Audition). Please visit our Scholarships page for a complete list of available Music Scholarships.

Our performing ensembles, both vocal and instrumental, are open to all students by audition. For more information and a complete list of our ensembles, please see our Ensembles page.
Auditions for ensemble participation are usually held the first week of classes in the fall, and sign-up sheets are usually posted at that time outside the ensemble directors' offices.
