Ph.D., M.M., B.M.; Associate Professor of Music, Education, and Human Services, Director of Choral and General Music Education, and MENC-Collegiate Chapter Advisor; received his B.M. in Music Education and Voice from Heidleberg College, M.M in Music Education from Bowling Green State University, and Ph.D. in Music Education and Educational Technology from Louisiana State University. He is author of Musical Elements: A Classroom Method for Handchimes, published by the American Guild of English Handbell Ringers. Dr. Liske's teaching experience includes nine years in the public schools of Ohio and Louisiana. He has specialized in middle-level choral and classroom music and has also taught elementary through high school general music and fine arts, beginning brass, woodwind, and percussion, and high school choirs and marching band. He has extensive service experience as musical director and vocal coach for high school and community theater, has previously directed a large and vibrant church youth music program, and served as artistic and musical director of the Singing Collegians Showchoir of Heidelberg College. Dr. Liske's middle-level choral ensembles and vocal students consistently earned superior adjudicated event ratings. He served as a vocal and choral adjudicator at festivals throughout Ohio and Louisiana, served on the Ohio MEA Contest Music Selection Committee, and was chair of both the Ohio MEA District II Jr. High Festival and Large Group Contest. He was previously a member of the Toledo Masterworks Chorale. Dr. Liske is a former president of the Wisconsin Music Educators Association. He is a founding member of the Wisconsin Society for Music Teacher Education, a site manager for the Wisconsin School Music Association State Solo and Ensemble Festival at UW Oshkosh, and webmaster for the Badger State Girl Choir. Dr. Liske's professional interests include classroom music methods, teacher education, and web-supported instruction in music. His work has been published in Update: Applications of Research in Music Education. He has presented scholarship and interest sessions at national and divisional conferences of MENC: The National Association for Music Education, the Society for Music Teacher Education, Technology Institute for Music Educators, and the American Music Therapy Association, as well as at state association conferences in Indiana, Florida, Louisiana, Ohio, and Wisconsin. Additional professional affiliations include the Organization of American Kodály Educators, the American Orff-Schulwerk Association, the College Music Society, Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society in Education, and Pi Kappa Lambda National Honor Society in Music.
