Kenneth Liske - Ph.D., M.M., B.M.; Dr. Liske is Associate Professor and Coordinator of Music Teacher Education. Presently in his eighteenth year at UW Oshkosh, Dr. Liske's students have become educational leaders in service throughout Wisconsin and the U.S. Dr. Liske served as president of the Wisconsin Music Educators Association (WMEA) from 2006-2008. He is past chair of the Wisconsin Society for Music Teacher Education, has previously served both as research chair and higher education chair on the WMEA advisory council, and as web developer for the Wisconsin Choral Directors Association. At UWO he frequently hosts events of the Association of Wisconsin Area Kodály Educators and North Central Wisconsin Orff. He instructs and helped develop the state's first university-based add-on teaching licensure programs in general and choral music. He advises UWO’s nationally recognized chapter of NAfME Collegiate. Presently, he is on the leadership team for UWO ArtsCore, a program that brings the best practices of arts-integrated instruction to classroom teachers. Dr. Liske is a site manager for the Wisconsin School Music Association State Music Festival and previously served as Director of Music Education for the Badger State Girl Choir. He is author of Musical Elements: A Classroom Method for Handchimes, published by the Handbell Musicians of America.

Dr. Liske's experience includes nine years in the public schools of Ohio and Louisiana teaching choral, general, and instrumental music, and specializing at the middle-level. As a public school teacher, Dr. Liske served in leadership capacities in the Ohio Music Education Association. He was artistic and musical director of the Singing Collegians Showchoir of Heidelberg University (Ohio), directed the youth music program at First United Methodist Church of Baton Rouge, and has been a vocal coach and musical director for high school and community theatre. He was a member of the Toledo Masterworks Chorale.

Dr. Liske’s degrees include the Bachelor of Music in Music Education and Voice from Heidleberg University (Ohio), Master of Music in Music Education from Bowling Green State University (Ohio), and Ph.D. in Music Education and Educational Technology from Louisiana State University. He has contributed to Update: Applications of Research in Music Education, Overtones, and Wisconsin School Musician. Dr. Liske has presented scholarship and interest sessions at national and divisional conferences of NAfME, the Society for Music Teacher Education, Technology Institute for Music Educators, the American Music Therapy Association, Midwest Kodály Music Educators Association, and state association conferences. Most recently he was an invited lecturer at the 2016 Seoul National University of Education Conference on Integrated Approaches of Creativity and Character Education, and a presenter at the European Association for Music in Schools/ISME European Regional Conference, Mozarteum University, Salzburg, Austria. Additional professional affiliations include the College Music Society, election to Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society in Education, and Pi Kappa Lambda National Honor Society in Music.

Dr. Liske and spouse Dr. Leigh-Ann Lethco, also a music educator, reside in Oshkosh with their two daughters who are active in a variety of school and youth activities.
